I was so excited to find a loose leaf tea at the grocery store that I had to buy it and taste. Well, Uncle Iroh would probably review this sugar cookie tea as he did in that one episode of Avatar the Last Airbender, “This is not tea, this is just hot juice!” That was my first thought when I tasted this tea. Even when I first opened the canister up to see the tea for the first time, I realized, “Oh no… White tea is apparently the last ingredient, not the first based on what I am seeing here.” As I first observed and later tasted, this can hardly be called a white tea. In a brewed cup, some white tea is detectable, but it is barely there which saddened me. However, even though I am unsatisfied that there is very little actual white tea flavor in a brewed cup, I do think this tea has a use. When it is cold and then I add, ice, a lot of milk, and finally boba, this tea makes a fantastic bubble tea with no extra sweetener needing to be added. This tea has the sweet dessert flavor that bubble tea needs with the bonus of having that barely there hint of tea flavor as I mentioned before which can’t be found in the powders bubble tea shops use to make their tea. Add some ice and boba and it will be tasty like that. I might buy more of these dessert teas for use in making boba teas on hot days.
Smells terrible, luckily it tastes better than it smells! I've had better sugar cookie tea so I'm not giving it a full 5 stars. Something is missing and I haven't been able to put my finger on it yet. It's ok, but not great.
This is my favorite all around tea. If you are sad and want to be happy, or just simply need an afternoon boost, this tea will do it.
If you're ever looking for a refreshing tea search for pinky up! Unique flavors that never ever disappoint
